HP SLATE OFFICIALLY UNVEILED

HP has unveiled its slate PC. The device was first presented at the at the beginning of this year.

Many people expected the HP slate to be an alternative iPad, but this is not quite so.HP positioned his slate tablet .the company enterprise can, however, release a Tablet WebOS focusing on consumers in the next year.

$799, HP slate is not compressed cheap.The is powered by a processor 1.86 GHz Intel Atom Z540 with 2 GB of RAM.Il has an 8.9 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Storage option is a 64 GB Solid State Disk.

The Tablet has 2 cameras - camera 3 Megapixels on the back and a camera facing the front for video calls.Other specifications include a Crystal Broadcom HD video accelerator, an active Wacom digitizer for handwriting recognition and a cradle with output HDMI.HP says that the tablet will be the last 5 hours on a single charge, but unfortunately the battery is not user replaceable.

Slate HP running Windows 7 professionnel.À only 1.5 pounds, it is lighter than the iPad.
